FAQs

#1 What is the TIFOH OneTap All in One Video Bar?

The TIFOH OneTap is an integrated electronic device that consists of a camera, microphone, speakers and computing power. It runs on the Android operating system. When connected to a display device (TV) and to the internet, it can facilitate video conferencing through one of Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and WebEx.

#2 For what meeting spaces is the TIFOH OneTap Max best suited for?

The OneTap Max is best suited for small meeting rooms that can accommodate upto 10 people. Beyond a distance of 4m from the screen, the video quality may not be good enough and hence it is not the best for large board rooms. However, for all small meeting rooms, it is the ideal VC equipment.

#3 Is it necessary to create meeting rooms in my workspace and sync the OneTap's calendar to the specific room where it is installed in?

For any organisation that has shared meeting spaces and follows a concept of booking the same (by users) to avoid conflicts, we recommend you have meeting rooms configured as resources in your workspace (google, microsoft etc). After this, create a new user in your workspace and delegate calendar access of the meeting room resource to this user. During set up of the OneTap, you should login with this account so that the device's calendar syncs with all room bookings. You can refer to the "Meeting Room Configuration Guide" in the "Downloads" page for detailed instructions on how to configure meeting rooms in different workspaces.

If you do not intend to configure meeting room resources in your workspace, you have 2 choices - (a) Create a user ID for this meeting room device, login to the device and subsequently add this user to meetings for calendar sync. This option is not secure in case this user ID is invited to meetings and ends up having access to confidential documents (b) Do not opt for any calendar sync; Whoever wants to join a meeting can select the corresponding app, enter meeting code/password and participate in meetings.

#4 As an IT Admin, how do I set up the OneTap Max?

#5 As a user/ meeting room participant, how do I use the OneTap Max?

Please refer to the TIFOH OneTap User Guide in www.tifoh.com/downloads for user instructions

#6 If I am installing multiple devices for my organisation, do I need to create different users for each device?

Yes, in the TIFOH OneTap Max 1.0 version, you will have to follow a concept of 1 device 1 user. However, as an IT Admin you are expected to secure the login credentials for these users and take care of calendar delegation by room. You can expect easy/remote setup configuration options with a single account/user for multiple devices in due course. For customers who have already purchased multiple devices too, we will have the mechanism to migrate easily to this model.
